2005-11-29 | POLES AND GERMANS |
The Polish-German Reconciliation
In the Poles' historical perception, the Germans are seen as invaders. However, at some point in the past both nations enjoyed a period of friendship and solidarity in their relations. This was the period of the November Uprising and the years that followed.
As a partner of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, LIDEX participated in the opening ceremony of the exhibition titled: Solidarity 1830 - Germans and Poles in the wake of the November Uprising, held as part of the Polish-German Year. Polish and German state officials honored this event with their presence.

Art without adjectives
Is there African art? Or Polish art? Or maybe there is just Art? Such questions were asked during the lecture of Simon Njami, a world-famous writer and art critic, curator of the renowned AFRICA REMIX exhibition.
LIDEX supported this event as part of the partnership with Zacheta

2005-07-30 | Appointed Civil Service Officer's examination |
Just two weeks have passed since the Polonia Palace Hotel's thunderous birthday party (see previous information) and we have already taken part in another interesting project - an examination of national importance. As many as 2090 people from 6 voivodships took part in this year's qualifying proceedings in which civil servants apply to become appointed officers. Because of the large number of candidates, the three-part examination was held simultaneously in two halls at the Warsaw EXPO XXI Centre. LIDEX passed its examination by providing the technical support for this major undertaking.
2005-07-14 | the 92nd birthday of the Polonia Palace Hotel |

2005-05-16 | The Third Summit of the Council of Europe |
On May 16-17, the Third Summit of the Council of Europe took place at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. Most of the capital's citizens experienced the difficulties associated with that event. On the other hand, it was an honor for Warsaw to entertain so many esteemed leaders and delegations from European countries, as well as international observers.
The organization of the Summit was also a media success. LIDEX had its share in the event by providing a logistically complex simultaneous interpreting service for the conference itself as well as press coverage. Preparatory work had taken several weeks, as the conference was to be held at a venue specially constructed in the Royal Castle's courtyard, which required the integration of the interpreting equipment with the latest data communication solutions. However, owing to great commitment and experience of the LIDEX technical support team, the conference proceeded smoothly. The Summit's participants had no problems whatsoever in communicating with each other and the journalists were covering the event as it was unfolding.
