To celebrate this year's Christmas Eve, the LIDEX team gathered at the National Gallery of Art "Zacheta". This occasion allowed all employees of our company not only to get together but also to familiarize ourselves with the paintings of Olga Boznanska currently exhibited at the gallery. Agnieszka Morawinska, the Director of "Zacheta", also attended the evening meeting. Looking forward to the approaching holidays, we wished each other Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2006. It will be the 17th year of LIDEX's existence.
The Commitment to Europe Arts & Business Foundation was established to promote partnership between the arts and business, without which it is hard to imagine how those two worlds could function. The Arts & Business idea came into existence in the UK 25 years ago and has since become an important culture-making event for countries of Europe and North America.
Is there African art? Or Polish art? Or maybe there is just Art? Such questions were asked during the lecture of Simon Njami, a world-famous writer and art critic, curator of the renowned AFRICA REMIX exhibition.
LIDEX supported this event as part of the partnership with Zacheta.
For the second time now, as member of the Warsaw Destination Alliance, LIDEX supports the Walking Art Tour project. Walking Art is not just graphics, photography, painting and sculpture provided by an international artistic community. It is designed to promote our capital city, a highly important goal in an integrated Europe. The opening of this year's edition is combined with the final of the Enterprising Promoter of the Capital competition.

"I have been looking for you and now you have come to me" is the title of the exhibition of photographs by Arturo Mari, the personal photographer of Pope John Paul II, which was opened at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. During that reminiscing evening, the book "See You in Paradise", an interview with the photographer, was being promoted as well. As a partner of the Royal Castle, LIDEX provided technical support for this unique event.
Hardly a week has passed since we were granted "For the Benefactors" tablet and now we have got another award. For many years now LIDEX has been conducting charitable activities, helping the needy. Among other things, we are a partner to the Children's Foundation. For our commitment and support we have been honoured with the "For the Benefactors" tablet. The Foundation grants this special distinction to persons and institutions who have significantly contributed to the "In Time to Help" Programme, which has been under the patronage of Professor Zbigniew Religa since 1998. The tablet was handed in to Mr Stanis³aw Buczyñski, the president of LIDEX, during the Gala for People of Great Hearts, Minds and Talent held in the Grand Hall of the Royal Castle in Warsaw.
It is for the second time that the National Gallery of Art "Zacheta" has held a meeting with representatives of companies interested in supporting cultural events organized by this institution. LIDEX provided technical support for the meeting. We have been a sponsor of Zachêta since 2004.
British Standards Institution (BSI) - the oldest standards-making body in the world - leader in the field of standardization and certification, carried out another audit of our quality management system. The audit demonstrated full compliance of the system with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 standard, its continuous development and improvement of control procedures, and it reaffirmed that the services and support we provide are of the highest quality. What does this mean for your company? This means that your orders are carried out by LIDEX with utmost care and attention to detail. Put simply, they are in good hands.

Just two weeks have passed since the Polonia Palace Hotel's thunderous birthday party (see previous information) and we have already taken part in another interesting project - an examination of national importance. As many as 2090 people from 6 voivodships took part in this year's qualifying proceedings in which civil servants apply to become appointed officers. Because of the large number of candidates, the three-part examination was held simultaneously in two halls at the Warsaw EXPO XXI Centre. LIDEX passed its examination by providing the technical support for this major undertaking.
This time LIDEX attended a birthday party - we had the distinct pleasure of providing technical services for the grand anniversary of the Polonia Palace Hotel.
The beautifully renovated Hotel celebrated its birthday with due ceremony. It provided an occasion to inaugurate The Cooking Academy. The invited guests had a unique opportunity to prepare dishes together with the Hotel's Chef and taste them later.

On May 16-17, the Third Summit of the Council of Europe took place at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. Most of the capital's citizens experienced the difficulties associated with that event. On the other hand, it was an honor for Warsaw to entertain so many esteemed leaders and delegations from European countries, as well as international observers.
